Why I'm Running

I've been proud to call Northwest Indiana home for most of my life. My passion has always been bringing people together—through nonprofit leadership, community theater, education, the arts, and now Prairie Flower Farm.

Along the way, I've served on nonprofit boards, managed community programs, and even spent more than two years living off-grid with my youngest daughter. Those experiences taught me the importance of listening, planning thoughtfully, and working together to solve problems.

I'm running for the Kankakee Valley REMC Board because I believe our cooperative is strongest when member-owners have a voice. I want to bring thoughtful leadership, transparency, and a commitment to listening as we work together to build a strong future for KV REMC.

Listening to Our Community

Every member-owner brings valuable experience and perspective to our cooperative. My goal is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and represent the voices of everyday members as we make decisions about KV REMC's future.

Our cooperative is strongest when members understand how it works and take part in shaping its direction.

My Priorities

Representing everyday members means listening, asking questions, and keeping the needs of our communities at the center of every decision.
Affordable Energy
Transparency
Local Families

Energy costs affect every household, farm, and small business. I will ask thoughtful questions, seek clear information about rising costs, and support responsible planning that keeps affordability in focus.

Member-owners deserve clear information about the decisions that affect their cooperative and their electric bills. I will support open communication, ask honest questions, and work to help members better understand the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Our cooperative should work for the people and families it serves. I will listen to member-owners across the KV REMC service area and bring their questions, concerns, and experiences to the boardroom.

A Lifetime of Community Leadership

For more than three decades, I've worked alongside neighbors through nonprofit organizations, community theater, education, environmental stewardship, and volunteer leadership. Those experiences have taught me the importance of listening, asking thoughtful questions, and bringing people together to solve problems.

As a member-owner, I believe those same qualities are essential for serving on the KV REMC Board. My goal is to represent everyday members with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to thoughtful leadership.
